Abstract
Strontianite was found minor accessory mineral in pectolite rock from Himekawa-river, Itoigawa, Niigata Prefecture, Japan. Its form is long prismatic up to 0.5 mm. In Itoigawa district, many Sr-dominant minerals such as itoigawaite, rengeite, stronalsite, slawsonite were found. However, the occurrence of low pressure and low temperature mineral such as stronalsite is the first time. This is a new mode of occurrence about strontianite.
