Abstract
The method for the optical axis adjustment of the gradient-index-rod-lens (GRIN lens) has not been established yet. This study proposes an optical axis automatic adjustment method of a GRIN lens using Genetic Algorithm (GA), and proposes the method to reduce the measurement time. First, a basic model for the automatic determination of the parameters needed for the optical axis adjustment is mentioned. It is confirmed that the proposed method can obtain the same accuracy as a manual method. In addition, the adjustment time is reduced one-third of the normal time by improving the adjustment algorithm.
