Abstract

The goal of our study is to create donor(D)-bridge(B)-acceptor(A) type molecular wires with [2.2]paracyclophane as a B, which has strong transannular interaction, and verify its photoinduced charge-transfer. In order to assess only the transannular interaction, we have been studying the molecules, in which a D and an A are tethered with a methylene chain, respectively, as synthetic target molecules. We will report here the results so far obtained.
