Description
The reaction of disilyne with methyllithium was examined. The 1,2-addition of methyllithium to disilyne proceeded, and the methyl-substituted disilenyllithium was obtained. The methyl-substituted disilenyllithium was not stable in THF, and gradually isomerized to the hydrogen-substituted silyllithium at room temperature.
