Description
The CH/pi interaction has been studied by high-level ab initi calculations and by measurements of IR and UV-Vis spectra. Although the nature of the CH/pi intearction of acidic C-H bonds such as the C-H bond of acetylene may be similar to that of the hydroben bond, the nature of the CH/pi interactions of typical (non-activated, low acidic) C-H bonds are completely different from that of the hydrogen bond.
