Abstract
The tripodal molecule bearing hydrogen bonding sites expectably forms supramolecular capsule. We designed and synthesized tripodal molecules introducing 3-carboxyphenylmethyl groups as hydrogen bonding sites. Based on NMR spectroscopy and UV titration experiments, this molesules formed dimeric capsule in CDCl3. Lithium ion selective recognition in this dimeric capsule is now investigated.
