抄録

(I) The building which has the saw-tooth roof style is often used for the general factory building. Up to this time, the ventilation in that case has naturally done by an opening equipped on the top of the ridge of the saw-tooth roof. However there are many cases that the requisite quantity of ventilation is not sufficiently ejected. In this thesis, we show quantitively according to the material data which is gotten by the experiment of wind tunnel how the vetilation is disadvantage in the case of only the saw tooth roof opening on the ridge. Next, for the way of that improvement, we equipped verticaly the isolating board for wind (we call it the saw-tooth roof monitor). We also experimented in the same way about the saw tooth roof building which is made ventilate improvement, then we account for the property of this ventilation on this type. (II) The method of experiment for the wind tunnel, and the method of count for the coefficient of windpressure and pressure loss coefficient of monitor are the same which were mentioned in Vol. 68 of the dissertations of the Architectual Academy. (III) We showed the result of experiment in the figure No. 5〜No. 10. Still more to make clear the difference of charactarics on ventilation between roof opening and saw tooth roof monitor, as the example, we counted the each quantity of ventilation by example of the count which is supposed the every condition of outward, and showed the result in the figure No. 11.
