Description
We studied iterative use of MCH as a hydrogen carrier between
dehydrogenation and hydrogenation of toluene formed. Catalysts used were Pt
catalyst and Ni catalyst for dehydrogenation and hydrogenation, respectively.
After 5 times of iterative use, we confirmed that demethylation products were
formed and tended to accumulate in liquid phase. Moreover, certain byproducts
containing aromatic ring behaved as hydrogen carriers as well.
