Description
An optical measurement method for local wall shear stress is proposed. The proposed method is based on the laser Doppler technique and it requires no calibration. The Doppler frequnecy obtained by the method changes within a Doppler burst and the variation of the frequency depends on the particle path. Hence, it has the possibility of two-componet measurement with a pair of lasers. In order to realize the measurement, a special technique of signal processing is neccesary for detecting the direction of the local wall shear stress. We propose a possible signal processing technique, although further improvement is required.
