Abstract
In this report, The effect of initial inhomogeneities related to the dislocation densities distribution and the crystallographic orientations on the macro-microscopic deformation behavior of polycrystalline metals have been discussed using the computational procedure for polycrystalline materials obeying the strain-gradient crystal plasticity theory.<BR> As a result, Hall-Petch-like relations between the initial yielding stress and the grain size are observed.
