Abstract
Interface profile transition of magnetic fluid under a nearly critical magnetic field is caused by the modes, which are close to the unstable domain and interact nonlinearly with each other. Their growth and interaction will settle down some time after, due to the finiteness of the total energy. We will find out the modes which will grow eminently through their damping coefficients, and check the conservation of the total interface energy, by using the fluid and the magnetic analyses for general use. Three-wave-resonance will also be investigated under the dispersion relation for linear waves on the interface of magnetic fluid.
