Description
I carried out a simulation of Lennard Jones bubble nucleation with molecular dynamics method. To investigate the inception of vapor phase in liquid, I decreased the density of Lennard Jones liquid, which is in the state of equilibrium instantaneously by uniform system expansion. In my study, I carried out the number of simulations with Lennard Jones liquid which were set in different states of equilibrium to estimate the nucleation rate and the size of critical bubble nucleus. I also discussed and compared the nucleation rate obtained from the simulations to the one obtained from classic nucleation theory.
