Description
The photovoltaic panels are examined based on JIS C8917 and are classified into a wind resistance class. However, since the net wind loads on the panels are unidentified, the safety levels of the panels are unknown. This paper investigates peak wind force coefficients on the panels of the photovoltaic arrays on the ground. The wind forces on the panels are different from the forces on the structures for photovoltaic array such described in JIS C8955. And the peak wind forces on the panels are constant at the various layouts of the arrays. The effect of the panel area for the wind forces is also discussed.
