Description
For the estimation of the gust response of structures, A.G.Davenport proposed the analysis method in the frequency domain. <br>The aerodynamic admittance of lift force is usually given by Sear's function, which was given as the solution of the potential flow theory for thin airfoil without flow separation. <br>Namely, this function is decided by the shape of structures. <br>However, the past investigations of the aerodynamic admittance measured by wind tunnel test showed that the aerodynamic admittance was changed by the turbulence characteristic of approaching flow and the influence of flow separation.<br>In this study, the aerodynamic admittance of lift force for a flat rectangular cross section, whose ratio of side length to depth B/D=13, was investigated in grid turbulence flow with wide range of turbulence intensity and turbulence scale.
