Abstract
In this study, we propose a method to cause a shear deformation for the Monte Carlo simulation. For the shear deformation, we introduce an external potential that cause a stress for the shear. We examine the method by considering the system of hard spherocylinders. The results of the hard spherocylinders express shear induced isotropic-nematic phase transition and existence of angle between flow direction and nematic director.
