Description
The particle method such as the Smoothed Particle Hydrodynamics (SPH) method is the numerical method not to need the numerical mesh. It is suitable to the problems which include the free surface. When we solve these problems by using the finite element method, the regeneration of the numerical mesh is necessary. Therefore the particle methods have been applied to the numerical calculation of the motion of the water droplet. In the particle simulation, the surface tension, which is an important element to describe the motion of water droplet, was expressed by various numerical models. However there seem to be few numerical models of the surface tension based on surface energy in the particle method. In our research, we developed the numerical model of the surface tension based on the surface energy in the particle method. Here we show some numerical results calculated by our method.
