Description
We conducted both standard cyclic triaxial test and torsional shear test to obtain the liquefaction characteristics. Both tests give the same liquefaction strength by means of excess porewater pressure generation and by 7.5% double amplitude shear strain, which are the most frequently used liquefaction criteria. However the process to liquefaction, such as excess porewater pressure generation, differs to each other. Then, in order to examine the effect of the difference of excess porewater pressure generation process keeping the liquefaction strength identical. Significant differences were observed in both excess porewater pressure generation and displaced, which indicates the importance to model the excess porewater pressure generation precisely.
