Description
Even a busy person can keep an electronic pet because it does not need the physiological care and is not dependent on a housing situation. Furthermore, for the purpose of the healing by nonverbal communication with a pet, it is accepted in many persons of today. This work "ComTama" is an electronic pet in the computer, which can be easily enjoyed for the purpose of healing. The ComTama lives in the computer screen and usually walks around with hopping. It has an egg-shaped body and only two eyes. Although the shape is so simple, it carries out various motions as its emotional expression responding to the owner's action. In this way, an owner can communicate with a pet, and while an owner can obtain the healing, the growth of a pet is promoted. If an owner will train a pet, it will learn some performances by the neural network. As a following stage after a pet grows, it crosses with other owners'pet and a new generation is made using the genetic algorithm. So, the ComTama is a system, which gives an owner the healing and a pet grows by communication with its owner.
