抄録

A theoretical solution for the non-linear vibration of pile-supported offshore platforms due to small amplitude and Stokes waves is derived by extending a linear solution obtained by one of the authors. The displacement of a platform-deck and the stress in supporting piles can be calculated easily once the integral constants contained in the solution are determined according to boundary conditions. Results are given for platforms with four piles and verified by comparing with the experimental data. As an application, the distance among the piles suitable for suppressing the resonance is finally presented.
