Description
Experiments are performed on lateral buckling of H-shaped steel beams of 60kg f/mm^2 class high quality steel. Tests are conducted under two moment distribution conditions; pure bending and moment gradient with moment ratio 0. Monotonic and cyclic load- ings are adopted. Test results are discussed in terms of relationships between limit slenderness ratio and moment distribution, and between slenderness ratio and rotation capacity. In addition, rotation capacities obtained in the present tests are compared with those obtained from steel beams made of various types of steel such as SS400 steel. HT590 steel and HT780 steel.
