Description

The measuring device for the distributions of earth pressure and wall friction is made in order to know the characteristics of the earth pressure. The detailes and the acuracy of the device are shown. As one of the tests using the device the active earth pressure test of wall tilting around its lower edge is examined. The distributions of earth pressure and wall friction are shown. In addition the coefficient of earth pressure, the angle of wall friction and the angle of frictional resistance on the slip surface are discussed. By the results of the test Coulomb's theory is reconfirmed.
