The purpose of this study is an analysis of the locality constitution as relationship in which a central place and the other side places keeping space order in the town area are distributed. In order to see the difference between a central place and the other places, we tried to use the following indexes. 1) The constitution of the households in the locality. Localities are classified into the agricultural and the non agricultural, according to the percentage of the farmhouse of localities. Acentral place is considered as one of the non agricultural localities. 2) The locality scale. It is reported that the number of the households in the agricultucal localities does not increase more than a certain standard, but in this town there are a dozen localities which consist of more than loo households. 3) The number of the facilities and the ratio of the households per facility. Comparing with the average, a central place can be picked out among the localities which have more number of the facilities and less ratio of the households per a facility than the average in the town. 4) The circumstances of the distributed localities and the situation of a school and a public-town or village-office. The public office stands close to the primary and middle school not exceeding 500 metres. These buildings are not always situated near by the centre point in the town area, but at the balanged point which is given with the following folmula. [numerical formula] [numerical formula] f; the number of the houssholds xy; x-y axis distance from the original point, the position of the school, to the school. X^^^-, Y^^^-; the balanced point. According to W. Clistaller's theory, a central place will be situated at the centre of the area, but the school and the public office are situated almost at the centre in this town, so that we suppose a locality which is possessed of a school and a public office is regarded as a central place. We have obtained the conclusion that a newly annexed Kawazoe town hab not a central place, but 4 districts in it had each small central places.
