Description

Diversifying of designing subjects and globalization of designing activities have great influence on evaluation of designs, therefore there is strongly demand to make the criteria and certain viewpoints clearer. In this study, the design evaluation process and criteria of Good Design Award, that is a comprehensive program for the evaluation and encouragement of design are reconstructed through the observation and analaysis. In result, it is necessary to set the process of design evaluation in order as 3 steps. Moreover, two viewpoints and two roles exist in this prize and it makes design criteria clearer.
