Description
There are many process factors in the solution synthesis of ceramic nanoparticles. They are species & amount (concentration) of solute and solvent, temperature & pressure, and such external fields as stirring, ultrasonication, microwave, etc. Among them, there hidden are unconscious factors mostly overlooked. In this report, we introduce (i) effect of the impurity dissolution from a glass vessel at nearly neutral pH on synthesis of ZnO nanoscrew and (2) effect of aging of starting solution on synthesis of monodispersed silica spheres.
