Description
Abstract:This research hypothesized that self-development effects promoted by internet usage forself-development purposes would tend to be weaker than those promoted by the reading of good books. The research was conducted on information system college students, and the hypothesis was verified by covariance structure analysis. The results suggested the possibilities that information gathering for study purposes and altruistic transmitting information (ATI) could promote self-development effects. When compared with self-development effects promoted by the reading of good books, such effects promoted by internet usage are also worth attention.
