Description
In this paper, the relation between the power consumption of a machine tool cutting condition and air cutting was examined by using clamp-on powermeter. The power consumption rates in machining are compared with facemill, endmill and drill. To evaluate environmental factor of machine tool, it is necessary to settle the standard cutting conditions. The results show that the power consumption is mainly depend on a cutting force and a rotational speed of spindle.
