Description
Automatic monitoring of each system in factory is expected to lead efficiency and economy. We have paid attention to analogue measuring instrument. The goal of our study is to read meter automatically, for example a voltmeter and an ammeter, in using image recognition technique. It is necessary to learn the structure of each meter from image in order to read various meters automatically. In this paper we propose a method for learning relation between direction of needle and value of measurement, and a method for reading the meter with the knowledge from learning. Experimental result shows the effectiveness of proposed method.
