Abstract

This study aims to clarify the interrelationship between the physical or social conditions of the block park and residents' utilization of block park or the reasons of sellecting the parks.<BR>The physical conditions are the distance from residents to the block park and the inner condition of the block park, and the social condition is the pattern of residents' daily activities.<BR>It is clear that some of residents do not always use the nearest park when the redidents use the block park. This reason is that the sellection of the park is effected by the accesibility to the park, the residents' perception of the real distance to the parks nearby, and the conditions relating to greenery condition and the maintenance level of facilities.
