Description
A thin film of insulator is introduced into a liquid crystal lens cell replacing the substrate between the patterned electrode and the liquid crystal layer. The distance between the electrodes then becomes so short that the driving voltages of approximate 3Vrms are realized, while the focus range is approximately 8(1/m).
