Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine areal pattern of rural landscape in a small town of mountainous areas and also to discuss the background of the formation of areal pattern through a case of Mayrhofen in Tyrol, Austria. This study focuses on the rural landscape by looking at the architectural types of each building.
