- : Experiences from British National Parks
Abstract
British National Park Authorities and the Countryside Agency/ the Natural England have pursued the substantiation and optimization of their management under the zoning system. The Land Management Initiatives from 1999 to 2004 promoted it.<br>Integration of the farm and local/rural community was enhanced. Partnership among the stakeholders is another characteristic of them. The long-term activities of the National Trust in Snowdonia are investigated. Its consistent activity is embedded with the wide-range trust by the public. These approaches help foster<br>social capital and capacity building of local action groups in the national park areas.
