How do rural areas provide urban residents with a country life as a product? What type of lives do the migrated urban residents lead? What is the rurality that they experience? This research will reveal the realities of rural migration through analyses of various migrants as subjects concering "country life" and by offering a lens examining commodification of Japanese rural space for the urban class.
