Abstract

We have reported the influence of the elliptical arc shape produced by small permanent magnets from the theoretical and experimental viewpoints. In this study, we investigated the measurement results of the arc pressure and current density distribution of magnetized arc, and the effect of alignment of magnets on the penetration shape.
