Abstract

Various researches and educational methods for grasping business structures by means of Conceptual Data-modeling (CDM) have been reported.<br>In this report, we describe the process that we proposed to improve business of a clinic by the CDM method as a theme of PBL (Project Based Learning) and we analyze how effectively the method worked.<br>We got the entire picture of the business as we gradually incorporated contents into models, which were obtained from a few hour hearings with each department of the clinic.<br>The models allowed us to summarize obscure issues into core problems and to make feasible proposals to improve their business which is bounded tightly to medical constraints.
