本発表では、マレーシア・サラワク州（ボルネオ島）の熱帯林に住む狩猟民・プナン(Penan)を取り上げて、狩猟の主要な道具であり、また、人に最も近い非人間でもあるイヌとともに/イヌによって生きてきた人とその世界を、民族誌のなかに描きだす。
