Abstract
Recent years, abnormal and extreme weather due to global warming become serious all overthe world. Although a possibility that a heavy rain can be controlled by using cloud seedingis shown, it is not examined whether it is effective weather control to the torrential rain inthe future with advanced global warming . This study aims to clarify the mitigating effectsof cloud seeding on torrential rain, which could occur in the future with advanced globalwarming, and conducted experimental simulations using GCM20 outputs and mesoscale meteorologicalmodel MM5. Results show that the maximum precipitation can be decrease by16mitigata torrential rains.
