Description
The two Jewish communities here in Japan (i.e. Tokyo, Kobe) had made some 'compromise' to maintain their unity. However, in order to satisfy the needs of Orthodoxy and the interests of women, each took a different measure; a split between the Orthodox and the Conservative with a female rabbi, and further split within the ultra-Orthodox (cf. definition of 'messiah'), and hiring an Orthodox rabbi and some women's departure.
