- A Concept Analysis
Description
The present study conducted a concept analysis of 'nattoku' to clarify the definition of and investigate nursing support that leads to nattoku. Rodgers' concept analysis was used to analyze the concept nattoku. A total of eight concepts, four antecedents, and seven consequences were extracted, and nattoku was defined as "a state of cognitive and psychological acceptance involving deeper understanding gained by clarifying personal values and self-benefits; a flexible condition that is generated both independently and through interactions with others". The characteristics of the concept nattoku appeared to comprise the following: aspiring to a stable state; actively responding to a situation; and aiming for positive outcomes. The present concept analysis of nattoku suggests that the keys to effective nursing are interactions that respect patients' individuality and consider their experiences to date, and lifestyle support for nattoku during everyday nursing.
