Description
An assay method using Sacch. carlsbergensis 4228 was studied for vitamin B_6,biotin, inositol and pantothenic acid. Modiflications were made in the compositions of the assay media and the techniques of Atkin et al. to standardize the method commonly applicable to the four vitamins above mentioned. The studies were also carried out on the extraction procedures of the vitamins from natural materials and the factors which were supposed to affect the results of the assay.
