Description
This work is a visual identity (VI) design for the Busan-Fukuoka Asia Gateway 2011 tourism campaign, which is promoted jointly by sister cities Fukuoka and Busan Metropolitan City, as well as by businesses and universities of both cities. The Busan-Fukuoka Asia Gateway 2011 makes use of the advantages of scale through cooperative promotion by both cities. For example, efforts are being made to create new tourism value with the goal of increasing inbound visitors to both cities by developing travel routes that include both cities and transportation tickets for common usage. Thus, the VI of the campaign is a symbol of the joint cooperation between the two cities, and we intended it to first of all, allow the citizens of both cities to become aware of the connection between the two cities. Moreover, since the campaign is scheduled to continue for a long period-until the end of fiscal 2011-we also considered arrangements for its utilization in variety of promotional tools.
