Abstract

Literature is generally defined as verbal art. Thus even the visual aspect of a literary text is reduced to a sort of representation that can be linguistically analyzed. But like what Gilles Deleuze calls la pensée du dehors, ideas on the outside perceived through automate spiritual, there is something extra-linguistic in literary imagination. This article will follow the process in which the reader discovers such “literary imaginative powers” through the sensory performance of visuality.
