Abstract

Literary products react upon authors and reform their ideas of reality and of themselves. Shigeharu Nakano not only discovered his theory of literary movement based on this way of self-reformation, but also attempted to find a method of a plot in fiction through the process of self-reformation. His thought was very original among the proletarian movement at the beginning of Showa and his sense of the rear guard could be found in it.However,as his view of the masses was gradually split into two kinds, avant gardists and the unawakend, he tried to identify himself as the former. Thus he lost bis creative power to invent new method of fiction and theory.
