Any definite way of appreciating some important points in Sanshiro,such as the famous words "stray sheep" and Mineko's thoughts on Sanshiro, has notyet been discovered. It's true that an excellent work allows of various ways of understanding. But I think the understanding of the work depends largely on how deeply the readers go into it.
