Abstract

Most of the time the sense of evanescence, which is considered as the basic view of life found jn Hojoki is called the exclamatory sense of evanescence. "This is due to the method of describing evanescence". Referring to the text, this exclamatory "characteristic" is pursued. As a result, it is proven that this exclamatory "characteristic" is overcome in the text and the sense of evanescence is established as an ideology. SpecificaUy, by discussing the first chapter, it is proposed that the sense of evanescence should be called "Dying-out sense of evanescence" and it should belong to this second view.
