Abstract
The liquefaction of lignocellulosic biomass (reed pulp) was carried out using an autoclave in the presence of solid catalysts and solvent (water and organic solvent) at the temperature range between 453K and 513K with and without gaseous hydrogen. Addition of Pt supported ZrO_2 catalyst and the presence of gaseous hydrogen promoted hydrodeoxygenation of product derived from biomass.
