Abstract

This paper discusses Problems that have developed through 'd'CATCH Project', and tells of its Perspective. d'CATCH which means 「DeCentralized Asian Transnational Challenge」 is the International Workshop project which continued since 2004 by four countries-Japan, Thailand, Philippines and China. This project which centers on [Media Literacy] and [Intercultural Understanding] is designed and practiced to inspect the two matters. The first is the figures of Asian people among themselves and its cause. The second is the try to construct the new media environment to recognize diversity and multiplicity. The surveys that practiced two times, before and after project, verified that this project is effective in Inter-cultural exchanging and learning media, because students can acquire the knowledge and skills about media, and shows the change of the image about other countries. Some kind of contrivance is needed to increase the opportunity like this project. For this, it is required that construct the new media which modify and complement the present media, not only people's network in Asia.
