抄録

<p>The gear skiving uses a gear-shaped type of tool that is distinguished into conical and cylindrical cutter by the difference in shape. The cutting edge of the conical cutter does not have the same shape in order to finish using relief motion along tooth trace. Furthermore, measurement of the cutting edge is difficult to measure on the edge of cutter. On the other hand, the cutting edge of the cylindrical cutter has the same shape in order to finish along tooth trace. In addition, measurement of the cutting edge is easy for the reason mentioned above. Thus, in spite of some superiority in manufacturing and measurement of the cutter, the study of cutting load for cylindrical cutter has not been conducted. In this study, effects of the cutter dimensions such as rake angle and setting dimensions of the cutter and the work gear such as setting relief angle on cutting load were investigated. As a result, it was found that there is a possibility of reducing the cutting load by adjusting the rake face and the setting relief angle.</p>
