Description
Three steels with carbon content of 0.008, 0.42 and 0.62 mass% were drawn by a true strain of 4.0. The drawn wires were examined by neutron diffraction, changing the direction with 5 degrees interval from the drawing direction. From (110) and (200) ferrite diffraction profiles, the intergranular stress and FWHM are found to increase with increasing of carbon content, the tensile strength is also increased with increasing of carbon content and the reason is discussed based on the neutron diffraction results.
