Description
This paper presents the performances of the toggle system with elastto-plastic dampers making by SS400 steel plate. In order to get the high performances for energy absorption, SS400 steel plate is formed as Φ shaped damper. And Toggle system is utilized to get high energy absorption capacity by long strokes due to the deformation amplifier properties, even if the yield force of the damper is very small.It is also confirmed the accuracy between the results of full scale experiment for the system designed by making use of the diagram and simulation results by FEM analysis.
