Abstract
Effect of elastic-plastic support on seismic response of piping system was investigated by nonlinear transient response analysis and complex eigenvalue analysis. Increasing rate of damping ratio and deformation of vibration modes were discussed to evaluate the elastic-plastic support behavior under earthquake. It was concluded the elastic-plastic support could hardly decrease the response of all vibration modes of the piping system.
